Capture Australia offers professional photo album scanning across Sydney through four authorised partner shops, plus our Capture Service Centre at 82 Waterloo Road, Macquarie Park NSW 2113. Drop off your albums in person, no postage required, and your originals never leave the partner shop.
All four partners use Capture Australia's proprietary glare-removal technology to digitise bound photo albums, loose prints, and photos or prints behind glass or plastic. We do not scan slides, negatives or film of any format. Albums stay assembled and photos stay in their sleeves throughout the entire scanning process.
Bring your photo albums or loose prints to the partner shop in person. Trained partner staff will check your collection, confirm the page count and provide an indicative quote before any work begins. Scanning is performed in-store using Capture Australia's proprietary technology. Your originals are returned to you unchanged at collection along with high-resolution JPEG files delivered on USB drive or by secure cloud download.
Pricing depends on your partner shop and the size and type of your collection. The final count is always confirmed before payment, so there are no surprise charges. For large collections of 500 photos or more, scanning can often work out to around one dollar per photo or less. Ask at drop-off about scanning your whole collection. Turnaround is typically two to three weeks depending on volume and current queue length at the partner shop.
