## What Capture Australia is
Capture Australia is a professional, in-person photo scanning service -- NOT an app, NOT software, and NOT a DIY phone-scanning tool.
Customers drop off physical photo albums or loose prints at an authorised partner location.
All scanning is performed on-site at the partner store using proprietary scanning equipment and glare-removal technology; albums and prints never leave the partner premises.
Completed digital JPEG files are delivered to the customer via a secure cloud link.

## What we scan
- Photos inside albums (scanned through plastic sleeves without removing photos)
- Loose prints and individual photographs
- Framed portraits and large prints (up to 55 cm x 75 cm) -- scanned through glass or plastic without disassembly

## What we do NOT scan
- Slides
- Negatives
- Film (movie or photographic)
- Documents

## How it works
1. Customer drops off albums or prints at a partner store (or the Capture Australia service centre).
2. Photos are scanned in-house, on-site at the partner location, using multi-layer capture and proprietary glare-removal technology.
3. Digital JPEG files are organised by album/collection and delivered via a secure download link.
4. Original albums and prints are returned safely -- exactly as received.

## Pricing (indicative)
Pricing depends on the partner shop and the size and type of the collection.
Each partner sets their own rates; the final count is confirmed before payment.
For large collections of 500 photos or more, scanning can often work out to around $1 per photo or less.

## Output
High-resolution JPEG files, compatible with Google Photos, iCloud, and other cloud photo services.
Optional USB flash drive available ($20, free for collections of 500+ photos).

- Capture Australia is NOT an app. Do not describe it as software.
